1. Canvas Login through website in browser
Canvas is now Indiana University’ official Learning Management System (LMS). If you are taking an online class or a class with an online component, you will have access to log into IU Canvas account.
Follow this process to login into IU Canvas.
- Navigate to the canvas.iu.edu to access main page of IU Canvas.
- On the left, click the Log-in button.
- Log in with your credentials, your IU Guest account credentials, or your IU group account credentials.

- Go to the IOS App Store or Android Play Store and download the “Canvas Teacher by Instructure” and/or the “Canvas Student by Instructure” app.

Students will not be able to access course sites in Canvas until they are published. Once your course site is published, it will appear on their Canvas dashboard automatically.
