1. Canvas Login through website in browser
Canvas is now Florida Atlantic University’ official Learning Management System (LMS). If you are taking an online class or a class with an online component, you will have access to log into FAU Canvas account.
Follow this process to login into FAU MyStatus & Canvas.
- Navigate to the canvas.fau.edu to access main page of FAU Canvas.
- This prompts you to log in with your FAUNet ID & password.
- Here you can enter your FAUNet ID & password.

2. Access FAU Canvas from a mobile device
The Student app is the mobile version of Canvas that helps students stay updated with their courses anywhere. The Canvas Teacher app allows Instructors to manage certain aspects of their course, communicate with students, and grade assignments from a mobile device.
Canvas provides two mobile apps and which app one uses depends upon if you’re accessing a course as a student or as a teacher.
To access FAU Canvas from mobile device, simply follow this instructions.
- Go to the IOS App Store or Android Play Store and download the “Canvas Teacher by Instructure” and/or the “Canvas Student by Instructure” app.
- After installing the app, open the Canvas Mobile.
- Once you have opened the app, you will be presented with a page to search for your school. Tap Find Your School or District.
- Enter “Florida Atlantic University” or “FAU” and hit the arrow to continue. This will take you to WebAccess, where you will log in with your FAUNet ID & Password Credentials.
- After logging in, you will be presented with your list of courses.

There will be a limited pilot in Fall 2016. OIT will begin loading courses in August and September so instructors can start migrating and building their courses for the Spring 2017 semester.
